INTE 5100 Course Design Document for “Introducing Our Cameroon!"
This design document and video details my team’s proposed instructional design solution and is titled, “Faire connaître nous Cameroun: un atelier Wikiprojects” (“Introducing Our Cameroon!: a Wikiprojects Workshop”) which was produced for my Planning and Designing for Instruction course. Tanna Lewis and I were partners for this project and it was a very pleasant collaboration.
INTE 5250 Infusing Creativity in Online Learning
I created this website with my teammates John Rishel and Emily Wallace for our final project in my Producing Media for Learning course. On our site, you will find creative tools to incorporate into an online learning environment. Each link contains ideas, resources, and a unique example. Some of our examples will require a login. Feel free to sign in or create a free account and add your input!
INTE 5320 Course Portfolio and Graphite and Me
I used Adobe DC to create this self-contained portfolio for my Games and Learning course. Adobe Reader, Adobe DC, or other Adobe PDF applications must be used to properly view it after downloading it. Sorry, Adobe caught me twice with this "business practice" to keep me subscribed to their products. No longer a fan of Adobe! "Graphite and Me" is a screencast I produced which describes my chosen affinity space.
INTE 5340 Course Portfolio and My Food Revolution
I used Adobe DC to create this self-contained portfolio for my Learning with Digital Stories course. Adobe Reader, Adobe DC, or other Adobe PDF applications must be used to properly view it after downloading it. Sorry, Adobe caught me twice with this "business practice" to keep me subscribed to their products. No longer a fan of Adobe! "My Food Revolution" is the digital story I produced for my final project.
INTE 5660 eLearning Tips for Non-traditional Students
I created this design document and the Adobe Captive project in my Developing Self-paced Online Courseware class. The goal of this project was to share a few eLearning tips and techniques with other non-traditional students. And by sharing these eLearning tips, while describing the challenges that I faced, I hope that other non-traditional eLearners may come to understand that they are not alone with these challenges.
INTE 5665 Hagwon Flipped Classroom NLS
This is a Google+ Community that I built for a requirement in my Social Media and Digital Cultures course. The purpose of the community was to learn more about using the flipped classroom model to teach in the Republic of Korea. My wife and I have since moved to Korea and established our learning center and therefore the community has served its purpose and I no longer maintain it.
INTE 5670 Team Webinar Project: Impressing with WordPress
A recording of a live webinar that I presented as part of a group in my Plan and Facilitate Live Events course. The group members were Aaron, Tanna, Michelle and me, Robert. Our instructional goals: 1. Basic understanding of how to create a WordPress site 2. Basic understanding of required components of an ILT Basecamp. Basecamp websites are a requirement for the CU ILT graduate program where we four are students.
INTE 5680 Three Steps to Meditation
My wife and I created this video in my Producing Media for Learning course. The video is a short introduction to meditation. Meditation has become important in our lives and I had the desire to describe a basic technique and share it with others.
INTE 5680 Yakking Yaks Video
This humorous short video was created for my Producing Media for Learning course. It was my first attempt at green-screening. I purchased a green fabric remanent from a small store and Uijeongbu-Shi Korea and then suspended it from my ceiling. Presto, a crude green-screen!
INTE 6710 Infographic: Sit-Breathe and Focus
I created this infographic to better understand the efficacy of mindfulness meditation and mind training on mental focus. I shared it so that those who have the need, or desire, to improve their focused attention and reduce their anxiety might learn from it. Although most anyone may find it interesting and useful I was most concerned with reaching busy adolescents here in the Republic of Korea and designed it with them in mind.
INTE 6710 Pecha Kucha: Mastering the Present
I designed my Pecha Kucha to describe what mindfulness is and is not. I included multiple definitions for mindfulness from varied sources and endeavored to reinforce them with photography. I described how it was used to reduce mind chatter, discursive thinking, and delusional storytelling.
INTE 6710 Video Project: Prudent Breathing
I created a short video that demonstrated the techniques, tools, and devices that I have found to be the most useful in protecting myself from air pollution and shared them in my video, "Prudent Breathing: in the Modern Metropolis." Although others may find it useful, I designed it to guide my adolescent students to a healthier, more active lifestyle here in the Republic of Korea, where air pollution has become a deadly serious problem.
INTE 6750 Introduction to e-learning
This document describes the history of eLearning and was produced as a collaborative effort in my E-Learning Trends and Issues course. Darren Blackman, Logan Priess, Nelson Taylor, and I produced the paper, but I must admit that due to a serious health issue I was dealing with at the time I did not contribute my fair share. My teammates were quite kind and generously made up for my shortcomings.
INTE 6750 Outside the Classroom Box: the Reinvention of Traditional Learning Spaces
I produced this paper in my E-Learning Trends and Issues course as part of a collaborative effort with Darren Blackman, Logan Priess, and Nelson Taylor. The paper describes some newer models of learning and the spaces that are being employed to support them.
